Laura Mendez

Academic Director

I've been a teacher for several years, and one of the most fulfilling aspects is not just witnessing my students' progress in knowledge, but knowing that they use the language in practical ways to achieve their aspirations - whether it's conversing with their Mexican relatives, traveling and understanding what's happening around them, building better relationships with clients, colleagues, or collaborators, and more.

As a team, our goal is to help our students reach their objectives. Simultaneously, we aim to teach in a friendly and approachable manner. In our classes, we'll delve into practical aspects of the language, covering everyday expressions to cultural nuances that make Spanish so unique. I'm here to guide you every step of the way, ensuring you enjoy every moment of the learning journey.

Let's work together to make your language-learning experience both enriching and enjoyable! Welcome to our Spanish learning adventure!

Stacy Richter

CEO

I am inspired by ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things. Every person has their own hero story and I get inspired when that hero story gets its chance to shine. Not all heroes wear capes or save people from a burning building. Any step a person takes that makes the world just a little bit better makes them a hero. Volunteering some time, buying a coffee, and even just a well-timed smile with a hello can change someone’s day. That’s heroic.

That’s probably why I love what we do. Helping others to learn another language AND understand the culture gives them a chance to make a real connection that might not otherwise happen. That feeling that someone gets when they begin to understand Spanish, German, English or any other language is indescribable.

I know because I am not just the CEO, I am also a student.

Yoseline Hernandez

Spanish Tutor

Hola! My name is Yoselin, I'm a native Spanish speaker from Cartagena de Indias, in Colombia.

I have a degree in Linguistics and Literature from Universidad de Cartagena, and I'm certified teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.

During my work experience we had a series of "tertulias" in which after reading and analyzing different study materials, we socialized and discussed the methodologies adopted over time for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. This space was very important because we were able to ground the different theories in our context and analyze their usefulness in today's classroom.

In addition, during my undergraduate studies, I was instructed in each of the language's levels: syntactic, morphological, semantic and pragmatic; as an ELE teacher it is a fundamental basis because from there the comparisons between L1 and L2 are born, when this is possible; and very important: its knowledge allows to illustrate and simplify concepts of the Spanish language that a priori are complex.
